Common Eye & Vision Concerns We Handle

Here are some of the key issues that often bring people to our doors—and how we help:

  • Refractive Errors (Myopia, Hyperopia, Astigmatism) – We test thoroughly and provide the right corrective options (glasses/contact lenses) or discuss refractive surgery when appropriate.

  • Cataracts & Aging-Related Changes – If your vision is cloudy, you’re seeing halos, or your daily tasks are harder than before, we’ll evaluate whether early cataract intervention is needed.

  • Glaucoma & Chronic Eye Conditions – Since these can silently progress, our diagnostic work includes intra-ocular pressure checks, optic nerve health, and regular monitoring if needed.

  • Digital Eye Strain & Screen-Related Issues – With more time spent on screens, symptoms like dryness, fatigue, blurred vision are common—and we guide you in mitigating them.

  • Pediatric & Family Eye-Care – Good vision starts early. From children who are squinting or failing to keep up in class, to parents concerned about aging eyes — we support the full family.

What to Expect on Your Visit

  1. Warm welcome & registration – Our friendly reception helps you get settled and gives you an overview of the process.

  2. Detailed history & consultation – We’ll talk about your vision complaints, lifestyle (screen time, outdoors, reading), medical history, and any concerns you may have.

  3. Diagnostic testing – Depending on your needs: visual acuity, refraction, intraocular pressure, fundus imaging, and more.

  4. Discussion & plan – You’ll be informed clearly about your eye-health status, options, next steps, and any treatments or lifestyle changes needed.

  5. Follow-up & support – We’ll ensure you have guidance on after-care, what to watch out for, how to maintain your eye-health going forward.

Tips to Maintain Your Eye Health

  • Get a full eye check-up annually (or more frequently if you have risk factors like diabetes or family history of glaucoma).

  • Take regular screen breaks (the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds).

  • Protect your eyes from UV and harmful blue light.

  • Maintain a healthy diet rich in leafy greens, omega-3s, and keep your general health (blood sugar, BP) in check.

  • Report any sudden changes in vision (floaters, flashes, loss of field) promptly.

Our Promise to You

At Tatume Eye Care, you’re not just another appointment slot—you’re a person with unique vision goals and concerns. We’re committed to offering high-quality care, transparent communication, and a compassionate approach so you can walk out feeling confident and clear-sighted.
